Welcome to Salt and Pepper. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Salt and Pepper mobile application ("App"), operated by Salt and Pepper ("we," "us," or "our"). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
You must be at least 13 years of age to use the App. If you are under 18, you represent that your parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf. By using the App, you represent and warrant that you meet these eligibility requirements.
To access certain features, you must create an account using your email address or through Apple or Google Sign-In. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to provide accurate information and to notify us promptly of any unauthorized use of your account.
Salt and Pepper is a recipe discovery, management, and cooking assistance platform. The App provides:
Salt and Pepper offers a free trial period with full access to all features. After the trial, continued access to premium features requires a paid subscription.
You may create, upload, and share content through the App, including recipes, images, ratings, notes, and bug reports ("User Content"). You retain ownership of your User Content, but by submitting it, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, reproduce, and distribute your User Content solely for the purpose of operating and improving the App.
You represent that you have the right to submit any User Content and that it does not violate the rights of any third party. We reserve the right to remove any User Content that violates these Terms or that we find objectionable, without prior notice.
The App includes AI-powered voice assistants ("Salt" and "Pepper") and other AI features. By using these features, you acknowledge and agree that:

The App, including its design, features, code, and original content, is owned by Salt and Pepper and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on the App without our prior written consent.
Recipes displayed from third-party websites are the property of their respective owners. We provide links to original sources and do not claim ownership of third-party recipe content.
The App integrates with third-party services for recipe search, AI processing, authentication, and other features. Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or content of third-party services.
Recipe content retrieved from external websites is provided as-is. We make reasonable efforts to parse and display recipe information accurately but cannot guarantee the completeness or accuracy of third-party recipe content.
Salt and Pepper is a recipe discovery and cooking assistance tool. The App does not provide medical, nutritional, or dietary advice. Nutritional information displayed is estimated and may not be accurate.
The App is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Salt and Pepper and its officers, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, revenue, or profits, arising out of or related to your use of the App, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
Our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the App shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Salt and Pepper, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable attorney fees) arising out of or related to your use of the App, your User Content, or your violation of these Terms.
You may delete your account at any time by going to Settings, then Edit Profile, then Delete Account. Account deletion is permanent and removes all your personal data. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or engage in conduct that we determine, in our sole discretion, is harmful to the App, other users, or us.
Upon account deletion, your personal data will be removed in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Some anonymized or aggregated data may be retained for analytical purposes.
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you through the App or by other means. Your continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree with the updated Terms, you should stop using the App.
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of competent jurisdiction.
